464 upazilas in the country are now free from homelessness!
under the Ashrayan-2 project, handed over land and houses to 18,566 families on June 11, making 70 more upazilas free from landlessness and homelessness. This effort has resulted in the rehabilitation of all landless and homeless people in 58 districts, including areas such as Dhaka, Gopalganj, Chittagong, and others.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina provided houses and land to underprivileged people in the second phase of the 5th installment of the Ashrayan-2 project. On June 11, the Prime Minister virtually handed over land and houses to 18,566 families from Ganobhaban.
As a result, 70 more upazilas in the country have become free from landlessness and homelessness. This achievement signifies that 100% of the landless and homeless people in 58 districts have been rehabilitated.
It is noteworthy that this phase includes upazilas from Dhaka, Gopalganj, Shariatpur, Faridpur, Netrakona, Cox's Bazar, Chittagong, Chandpur, Laxmipur, Noakhali, Comilla, Feni, Gaibandha, Lalmonirhat, Nilphamari, Sirajganj, Bogra, Satkhira, Jessore, Khulna, Narail, Bagerhat, Barguna, Barisal, Habiganj, and Sunamganj districts. In total, 70 upazilas have been declared free from homelessness and landlessness.
