Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujib's Dhanmondi 32 house vandalized and set on fire.

It was reported that Awami League President Sheikh Hasina had announced her intention to deliver an online speech that day. In response, the student coordinator declared that as soon as Sheikh Hasina addressed the nation, her house would be bulldozed.

Desk Report: After extensive vandalism, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's house at Dhanmondi No. 32 has been set on fire. Anti-discrimination students gathered in front of Dhanmondi No. 32 on Wednesday evening (February 5) in response to a call from their coordinator, Hasnat Abdullah. During the protest, the students were seen chanting various slogans, including "Jone Jane Khabar De, Mujibabad's grave," "Delhi not Dhaka, Dhaka Dhaka," "Jone Jane Khabar De, Awami League's grave," and "Mujibabad Murdabad, Inqilab Zindabad."

Although the demonstration was scheduled for 8 PM, students began gathering there earlier in the evening. As they assembled, they raised various slogans. Shortly before 8 PM, they entered house No. 32 and carried out acts of vandalism. The mural of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the entrance of house No. 32 was demolished.

While house No. 32 was previously set on fire on August 5, the students stated that they do not want any remnants of fascism to remain on Bangladeshi soil. They demanded the immediate return of Sheikh Hasina to the country for prosecution. Earlier, she had resigned from her position as Prime Minister and taken refuge in India following the unrest triggered by the 'March to Dhaka' program organized by the anti-discrimination student movement on August 5 last year. That same afternoon, students had set fire to Bangabandhu's house at No. 32 in Dhanmondi.
