Who wants to change the national anthem of Bangladesh?

Desk Report: Dr. Yunus took charge of the new caretaker government after the fall of Awami League through just one month of agitation. However, in the meantime, a communal group wants to give away the national anthem of Bangladesh, the country's constitution and many established things forever. Which was established through the 1971 War of Independence.

The issue of changing the national anthem came into discussion after the new government took over. Some people close to the government and the country's communal groups claim that Rabindranath Tagore did not write this song for Bangladesh. Some more radical people say, why should a Hindu poet's song be the national anthem of a Muslim country.

It is clear that this new power wants to move Bangladesh away from secularism and move the country towards a religiously staunch state.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami leader Aman Azmi said, 'In 1905, Rabindranath wrote 'Amar Sonar Bangla I love you' to cancel the partition of Bengal. This national anthem is the national anthem to unite the two Bengals. Do we want the two Bangla to be one? Do we want to keep independent Bangladesh, or want to be a united state of West Bengal in India?

He claimed that the national anthem was composed for the unification of the two Bengals. So it needs to be changed. Since then, there has been talk of changing the national anthem.

However, protests have started in the progressive circles of the country. A group has indulged in multi-faceted mischief by insulting the emotions and feelings of the people including the Great War of Liberation and the National Anthem. 48 eminent citizens of the country have given a statement protesting these arrogance and base activities.

Prominent citizens in the statement said, "We note with concern and anger that a communal group has started showing the audacity to question the great liberation war, the constitution and even the national anthem, with a dishonest political motive." A few days ago, the Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami advised the nation to forget everything from the past. It can be assumed that by the past, he meant the history of the liberation war of 1971, the role of his party at that time, etc.

Cultural activists, writers, journalists, and citizens of Toronto, Canada, protested by singing the national anthem.
At this time, an unprecedented scene took place in the entire Dentonia Park.

A large number of Bangladeshi Canadians gathered at Toronto's central Shaheed Minar square in Dentonia Park on Friday (September 6) evening to celebrate the event. In the beginning, poet Delwar Elahi and cultural organizer Mak Azad gave welcome speech.

A person named Rahman Mridha wrote, Amar Sonar Bangla, I Love You' is a unique creation by Rabindranath Tagore, which expresses deep love for our motherland. However, when this song was adopted as the national anthem after the independence of Bangladesh, it was also associated with the historical and cultural ties of West Bengal. 'Bangla' does not mean only Bangladesh; West Bengal is also involved in this. Because of this, it cannot fully represent our national identity.

President of Udichi Professor Badiur Rahman said, 'We are responsible to people. Our achievement is our liberation war. Whenever there is an injury to our liberation war, we will protest against it. Our national anthem, national flag is not given by anyone. This is our achievement found in the blood of millions of martyrs. This achievement cannot be tarnished in any way. Whenever someone hits the Liberation War, National Flag and National Anthem. We will protest against it.

Udichi General Secretary Amit Ranjan Dey said, "Udichi has been at the forefront of all progressive movements and struggles." Whenever the country, our liberation war was hit, we protested. This program by singing the national anthem is part of that continuous protest.
